Veterinarian's Assistant: Is there anything else the Vet should know?Ĭustomer: Once in a while she shakes, but not often. Veterinarian's Assistant: What's the Cockapoo's name? A few days ago I had to stop her from eating poo in the park. I don’t know if she ate the ant bait (the box says it’s 5.4% borax). Veterinarian's Assistant: Could she have eaten something unusual?Ĭustomer: The vet said she may have allergies because she was licking her paws a lot so we switched to lamb and salmon food instead of beef or chicken. Have you noticed any changes in the Cockapoo's appetite?Ĭustomer: Not at all - always hungry and goes to my daughter for food even when I’ve just fed her! (Something she has done for a long time which is why she’s 17 lbs) Veterinarian's Assistant: I'll do all I can to help. Would either of those cause this kind of problem? And we found a half empty terro ant bait trap in the corner of the dog’s bed. While trying to figure this out and cleaning house, my daughter discovered that the vet gave us sentinel spectrum for 50-100 lb dogs for our 17 pound dog. Our vet says she’s just getting old, but it seems unlikely to me that she would suddenly get old this fast. The last day or two she has been getting worse, limping and not running. She doesn’t seem to be in any pain and doesn’t have any trouble holding squatting to pee or poo. Once she’s back up she can walk and even still run down the sidewalk to get to the park. She started just slipping and falling then getting back up but now she will just fall, struggle a bit, and sit there until someone picks up her butt and puts her back on her feet. In the past 3 weeks she seems to be losing the use of her back legs sometimes. In the past year she is sometimes a little stiff when she gets up but usually stretches and is fine. Customer: I have a 15 year old cockapoo who until recently has been a very active and happy little dog.
